- Entrance lights for signI was wondering if anyone had any interest in raising money to install lights on
our entrance signs so they are visible at night? I have lived in the
neighborhood for 2 years now and still have trouble at night missing our street
coming around the bend in the road. E-mail me your comments
Jerry Schill - Lights for signawesome idea! i lived there 6 years and still have the same trouble.
i can post the idea on the front page. also, we would have to figure out where to start...like electric company, city hall permits, etc. i have some connections with city hall and obviously with the mayor living in the neighborhood, i would think he would help facilitate the project. i'll give him a quick call and get back to you.

- lightsI called Phil Lahetta Today and I am waiting to hear back from him. I will see what is allowed and what type of hoops we will need to jump through to install them. I am sure we will need a game plan for financing this project when I speak with them so I am going to approach this as an association project to be paid for by the residents of University Oaks and the Reserve. I will keep you posted. If you know Bill personally it may help speed the process!
- sign lightsyes i do, so i talked with bill this morning and he is already working on it for us. talking with ohio edison and city departments...should have something for us by tuesday he thought.
- entrance light infoI spoke will Phil and know what he needs. The real costs may be associated with Edison and the cost of hook up. We also will need to decide how to pay for the annual upkeep of the lights and the utilites associated with them. Most HOA's pay some minimal dues to cover these expense so we may have to get the word out on this to as many as possible and try to stir some interest. It would be nice to tidy them up as well...the island on Highland is bad! I have my guys sprya and trim it when we are in the neighborhood working but it is in poor shape. I would like to think that there are alot of other homeowners that feel the same way we do so maybe it will be an easy sell. Let me know what Bill says and i can give Phil what he needs as far as a layout and specs on lights. It would be nice to just have a power source at the ign base for low voltage lights on the signage and a source for possible season lighting. Many of the associations we service do similar things with their entrances as well.

My daughter is a very reliable and experienced senior in highschool whom is great with any age child.
